This year the festival will be running poetry workshops and readings around the county in conjunction with Essex Libraries and various poetry groups in Early October.
Plus a big day of poetry at the Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford, where George Szirtes, Annie Freud, Luke Kennard will provide the evenings entertainment, supported by the winners of this year’s competition introduced by adjudicator Kathryn Simmonds.
In the afternoon there will be reading from 3 Essex poets Victor Tapner, Susan Grindley & Kayo Chingongi.
Music and Poetry from Fen Song, Poet Clare Crossman, singer songwriter Penni McLaren Walker & muscian Bryan Causton.
Plus the Open Mic, giving anyone a chance to air their poems on the festival stage.
